UPCOMING CHALLENGES TO OUR TEAMS AND PARTICIPANTS
These challenges will be awarded to those who go the extra mile.

* $3,500 FUNDRAISING TEAMS:  Teams that fundraise $3,500 or more by Wednesday, April 9’s Team Captain Meeting will be given one (1) 20’ x 20’ tent on their 20’ x 20’ campsite as a BIG MAHALO by our committee.
* MAULI OLA (BREATH OF LIFE) AWARD:  Given to teams who recruit at least five (5) survivors on their team.
* ILLUMINATE AWARD:  Given to teams who collect donations for at least 75 luminaria per team.
* RELAY SPIRIT Award:  Given to the top three most spirited teams on Relay day for participation in Relay activities and overall Relay spirit!

* EVENT NIGHT

  • TEAM COMPETITIONS:
    • Best Decorated Tent (Friends/Family and Corporate Categories:
      • Best Cancer Educational Message (i.e., physical activity, nutrition, sun care, get your preventive screenings)
      • Closest to “Disney” theme
      • Most Extraordinary
    • INDIVIDUAL COMPETITIONS:
      • Best Costume (Categories:
        • Closest to “Disney” theme
        • Most Extraordinary
      • Best Dessert (offered to and judged by our honored cancer survivor and caregiver guests at the Survivor/Caregiver Tent)

    • ATTEND Relay For Life of Ko`olauloa 4/2/14, 4/9/14, 4/16/14, and/or 4/23/14 Team Captain Meetings (1 Buck$ for each meeting attended)
    • TEAM chooses a RELAY THEME for your TEAM by 4/16/14 Team Captain Meeting (1 Buck$)
    • TEAM chooses an ON-SITE ACTIVITY/FUNDRAISER for Relay Night by 4/16/14 Team Captain Meeting (1 Buck$)
    • TEAM delivers a MISSION MOMENT at Relay (1 Buck$)
    • Get a SPONSOR(s) for RELAY ($1 - $250 = 1 Buck$, $251 - $500 = 2 Buck$, $501+ = 3 Buck$)
    • ACS CAN Membership:  For every paid ACS Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) member recruited from your Team by 4:30 AM on April 26, 2014, your Team will receive one (1) Relay Buck$.  NOTE:  ACS CAN $10 membership fee is not tax-deductible and will not count towards your individual or team’s Relay For Life totals.  ACS CAN memberships must be done offline.*

* ACS CAN is the American Cancer Society's "sister" organization.  It is the nation’s leading cancer advocacy organization that is working every day to make cancer issues a national priority.  You may find out more information at www.acscan.org.

The Relay For Life movement features community and campus events that offer an inspiring opportunity to honor cancer survivors, promote how individuals can reduce their cancer risk, and raise money to help end cancer. Today, with the support of thousands of volunteers, the American Cancer Society is helping save more than 400 lives a day. And we won't stop until we finish the fight against cancer!
