Bow Wow Wow Wow! What a "dogtastic" day! The pooches
were out in full force (and so were their humans) Put your paws together for
the 2014 Bark. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the BARK FOR LIFE
on Sunday at Rose Tree Park. What a great day! Thanks to all of our sponsors,
vendors old and new, volunteers, and all of the participants. Everyone enjoyed
watching the Limbo, the Best Dressed and the Hula Hoop contests. The musical
entertainment by The McChords, GLEECHE and the Springton Lake Middle School
Band was wonderful. A big paws-up to Hank Hangsterfer and Chile, our Grand
Marshals; our fabulous Emcee, Tom Irvin; Rabbi Blum for blessing our
care-giving canines; Mikell Jones and Jax of the Aston Police Department for
their K-9 unit demonstration; and the Middletown Fire Company for orchestrating
our Bone Drop. A special thanks to We Love Rescue Pets for bringing their
petting zoo to the event. We hope you had a great time and will join us again
next year. Together we are raising funds to fight cancer through the American
Cancer Society research, education, advocacy and patient services
The American Cancer Society Bark For LifeTM is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.
By supporting Bark For Life, you help the American Cancer Society save lives, and that helps us move closer to our ultimate goal of a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
So bring your best canine friend and join us for a fun-filled day starting with a walk, and then continuing with demonstrations, contests, and games.
