Saturday May 18th Juneau is launching Relay Recess!  Google it, check it our on YouTube - see it on our Facebook page - this is such a HUGE event geared specifically to elementary students.  We are going to have so much fun!  Registration begins at 9am and the event is from 10am - 3pm at Riverbend Elementary school.  Either bring your kids or come as a family - this is a chance to learn more about how to prevent cancer with physical fitness, good nutrition, saying no to tobacco and being smart in our rare sun :)  We will have obstacle courses, games and activities, speakers, a chance to Relay and walk the track and our own luminaria ceremony.  Elementary students that decide they want to try and fundraise will be eligible to earn some fun prizes starting at just $10 - more information will be available on the www.RelayRecess.org/juneauak website. 

Wednesday May 29th - BANK NIGHT - Team Captains please plan on attending and turning in any funds that your team has at that point.  We will be at True North in the valley from 5:30 - 6:30.  If you are not able to attend please sent a team member in your place.  THANK YOU

The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life is the largest fundraising event in the nation.  In 2012 Juneau supported this event in a BIG way – it was an amazing year for Juneau. 

It is said that 1 out of every 100 Americans is already a Relay participant.  Last year in Juneau we found that about 1 out of every 85 Juneau residents Relay.    We had 364 participants that formed 41 teams to raise $101,283 with your help.
