Become a Relay For Life event volunteer

FIGHT BACK through research! THIS YEAR ONLY, our Relay event will offer the opportunity to participate first-hand in a landmark new study, the Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3). The American Cancer Society will be enrolling people into CPS-3, a long-term study that will help researchers better identify the lifestyle, environmental, and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer. By joining CPS-3, you can help researchers better understand the genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that cause or prevent cancer, which will ultimately save lives.

Who can join the CPS-3 study?

Anyone:

•   Willing to make a long-term commitment to the study by completing periodic follow-up surveys at home

•   Between 30 and 65 years old

•   Not diagnosed with cancer (not including basal or squamous cell skin cancer)

How can you participate?

Enroll at the Issaquah Relay for Life: 6pm—10pm, Friday, June 7th, 2013. The enrollment process is 20-30 minutes and includes a short Enrollment Survey, measurement of your waist circumference, and a small blood sample.
