The journey to end cancer starts with a single step. The American Cancer Society invites you to take that step with us by joining the global Relay For Life movement. When you walk to end cancer at a Relay event, it's your opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones lost, but also to raise awareness about what we can do to stay well from cancer and raise money to help fuel the world's largest walk to end cancer.
COUNTDOWN 'TIL RELAY!!! HERE WE GO RELAYERS, HERE WE GO!!!
Our Relay is only a few hours away. We will once again transform MKA's Middle School field into our Relay arena, taking to the track, one survivor at a time, followed by one caregiver at a time, then team by team, participant by participant pledging to do all that we can to end this horrific disease. Each and everyone of you have done such a tremendous job this year. With all that we faced with super storm Sandy and other economic challenges you still managed to stay focused and commited to the cause. THANK YOU for being YOU!

CPS-3 or Cancer Prevention Study-3
American Cancer Society CPS-3volunteers are saving lives. Our new volunteers follow in the footsteps of thosewho have helped us since the 1950s.The participants in those studies provided valuableinsights into the causes of cancer and the stepspeople can take to prevent the disease.
This year, our community will have the unique opportunity to participate in a landmark new cancer research study, Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3). This is an opportunity for those of us (ages 30-65) who have never been diagnosed with cancer to actively get involved in efforts to help prevent cancer for this and future generations!
