The journey to end cancer starts with a single step. The American Cancer Society invites you to take that step with us by joining the global Relay For Life movement. When you walk to end cancer at a Relay event, it's your opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones lost, but also to raise awareness about what we can do to stay well from cancer and raise money to help fuel the world's largest walk to end cancer.

A HUGE Thank-You to all who came out and participated in this year's Relay For Life of Cranford.  The event was a wonderful success and we couldn't have done it without you!

Don't Forget our IPAD Mini Challenge!
In honor of the American Cancer Society's 100th Birthday we are asking you to try to become a member of our Grand Club ($1,000 +) or our Relay All Star Program ($2,500+).

Can you accept the challenge for our 100th Birthday between May 28th and June 30th?  If so you will be entered for a chance to win an Apple iPad Mini!

When you raise $1000 (or if you have done so already), you will be entered for 1 (one) chance, when you raise $2,500, you will be entered for 2 (two) chances at an iPad Mini!

*All participants who are currently members of these clubs will be entered to win.

Donations can be credit card, cash or check, however all cash and check donations must be entered online by midnight on June 30th in order to count for the contest. See instructions HERE for entering cash and check donations.

How can you succeed at this challenge?

  • Send emails to and be sure to share why you are raising money and what your goal is!
  • Donate $25 to yourself and ask others to match
  • Send the Personalized Video that’s posted in your Participant Center to friends and family – it does the work of asking for donations on your behalf!
  • Post any donations that you collect as cash or checks (rather than credit cards) to your Personal Participant Center as an off-line donation.
  • Update your Facebook profile, Twitter account, Blog, or other website with Relay information and ask people to help you “finish the fight”.
  • Check out our Post-event Fundraising ideas .  At our first Team Captain meeting this year we brainstormed different types of fundraising and came up with some great ideas for fundraising AFTER Relay has happened.

Thank you for everything you do to help build a world with less cancer, and more birthdays.

Sincerely,

Your American Cancer Society
