The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that helps our community celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

Your reasons for getting involved in Relay For Life are as unique and special as the story that motivates you. Because of your support, we are creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays!

We are looking for more volunteers to help us with the planning of this wonderful event. If you are interested please contact Sharon Hall at (626) 590-0472, or email her at Sharon.Hall@cancer.org.  The planning committee and team captain meetings will be held at the Alhambra Civic Center Library upstairs conference room, 101 S. First Street, Alhambra CA, 91801. 6:00 - 7:00 PM for Team Captain'Meetings, and 7:00 - 8:00 PM for Committee meetings.

The Upcoming Dates for the Meetings are: May 23, June 13, June 27, July 11, and July 25. Meeting changes will be posted on the website.  (Attention: May 23rd meeting will be located at Platt College, 1000 S. Fremont, Bldg A10 starting at 6PM. Everyone to meet in the Lobby)

Fight Back through research   This year only, selected Relay events in our community are offering the unique opportunity to participate first-hand in a landmark new study, the Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3). The American Cancer Society will be enrolling people into CPS-3, a long-term study that will help researchers better identify the lifestyle, environmental, and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer.
