Sign Up, Set up, Start Fundraising!

Thank you for your interest and support for this very important cause. This is the 3rd year that Apex Systems has been recognized as a Relay For Life National Corporate Team. We are thrilled about the difference that our employees and their friends and families across the country can make in the fight against cancer.

How Can You Help in the Fight Against Cancer?
There are many ways you can help, including:

1. Acting as a Team Captain and coordinating a Relay Team for your Branch.
2. Joining your team and fundraising.
3. Planning a Fundraiser for your Team / Event, such as a Restaurant Night (having a restaurant donate 10% of their earnings for a night), Bake Sales, planning a Power Tournament, having a sports related contest with a portion going back to Relay (i.e. Superbowl Squares, March Madness, etc), Raffles, Paying for ‘Dress Casual Day,’ Guest Bartending, Car Washes, Auctions, Selling Cookbooks, etc
4. Volunteering on your local Relay for Life committee
5. Getting others involved in Relay

Where Does the Money Go?

Last year, all the money raised for the American Cancer Society was distributed as follows: 43% to Research, Prevention, Detection & Patient programs at the regional level; 34% to those programs at a national level; 19% to fundraising; and 4% for Management and Administrative fees. 

What's Expected of Me?

Each team member is asked to raise at least $150 for the cause. You can raise money by emailing friends, family, clients, neighbors, etc, doing a fundraiser, posting on Facebook (upload the Facebook application!), Tweeting, sending out letters, selling raffle tickets or other items, or planning a fundraiser.  Also, each team member should attend the event! Relay is typically a 12-24 hour event at a local school or park. One member of a team takes turns walking around the track at a time. You can hang out at the teams campsite, play games, eat food, listen to music, stop by the Silent Auction if your event has one, etc.
