Hello to all my canine friends new and old,
I am looking forward to meeting everyone at our walk in Oct. The Greater Gardner Relay for Life is organizing their first Bark for Life and we are the stars of the show Let your Master, family and friends know they can form teams same as they do for the Relay. Teams will consist of owners and mans best friend. Cancer is the #1 cause of death in dogs and our friends cats. Many of our friends are caretakers for family members going through Chemo. Bark has a Survivor lap which we can walk with our companions.
Fund raising is part of Bark for Life, all $$$ your team raises gets credited to the team for the 2014 Relay next June. My master will explain the Bark in more detail. I understand their will be many, many peemails for us to read at the walk, look forward to seeing everyone Oct 5th.
Barks and licks,
Welcome to the first annual Greater Gardner Bark for Life. as Jerry Reed sang in Smokey and the Bandit "We have a long way to go and no time to get there"...... To make this a success we need to form a committee and need volunteers the day of the walk.
Positions needed to fill are :
* Co Chair
* Registration at the Walk
* Volunteer Coordinator
* Activities coordinator at the walk, etc
One of our fund raising tools will be the equivalent of Stars and Moons, which are called BONES.
I am thinking it would be nice to talk to Vets, Groomers, Pet Stores large and small, Walkers, Trainers etc to see if they would be interested in joying us by selling Bones and displaying a flyer. We would really get the word out to dog lovers.
This is a wonderful way to recruit new members for your Relay teams along with a very nice fundraiser to kick start efforts for next years Relay.
Lots to do, looking forward to hearing from those interested in lending a hand. Feel free to contact me by email email@example.com
or call 978-502-9106.
